DON’T GIVE UP!!

I’ve been seeing far too many posts about how people want to “give up” on business or marketing because they’ve tried a few things and none of them seem to work.

Other people want to give up because they see others reaching higher levels of success in a faster time than them.

Here’s the deal…

I’m going to give you 10 reasons why you should never give up on making money through IM / business.

Here you go:

1) Creativity Has An Answer For Everything

If you have a problem then you’re just not being creative enough in the way you want to solve it. Creativity is the most powerful, adaptable and beneficial talent that anyone can have and how much you use it in business will determine how successful you are. Tip – create ways to solve problems. Don’t just be a sheep and think that if something doesn’t work, its just not going to be……..

2) Consistent Growth Takes Time… That’s Why It’s Called ‘Consistent’ Growth

Companies (real companies) measure success with consistent growth. If your business has grown 10% year on year for 10 years, it’s often hailed as being more successful than a company that went from 0-100k in 6 months. Consistent growth is what defines a true success because the difficulty of achieving that growth exponentially gets harder as time passes. What Im trying to say is that if you’ve made 1 sale in 2 weeks, then push to make that 1 sale a week and then 1 sale a day and then 10 sales a day. Building your business consistently is the key to success, and this takes time.

3) Time Heals Everything

Did you lose rankings? Did you get banned from your favorite forum?

Don’t worry about it. Time heals everything, as long as you keep doing it that is. Time has a way of settling past differences and making people & ideas work together better. Just look at the USA and Britain – America was a colony of Britain at one point and now we are best allies.

4) Your ‘Big Break’ Could Be One Handshake Away

So you’ve been struggling for years to get to a point where you still feel inadequate. My advice is to carry on and keep your eye open for any opportunity that comes your way. I always remember John Reese saying that your biggest deal is only a meeting, email, phone call or handshake away. You’ve got to be “in it to win it”.

5) “Overnight Results” Are Mostly A Myth

There are a few small projects which have been major overnight success stories, but on the whole, it takes time and effort to create a profitable business. All those posts about people who “made $50k in 24 hours” are ALL spun in a spider’s web. All the people who have those kind of claims used existing assets which took a lot longer than 24 hours to build up. So overnight results are not something you should be expecting. They are nice though, when they do happen :-)

6) You Are On Your OWN Jouney (Who Cares About Anyone Else)!!!

A big thing for me was that I was at a similar level to a colleague last year and he suddenly started to earn more and more than me. This was a big problem and made me feel very insecure. He’s now one of the most profitable publishers on Clickbank. However, after someone told me that “Success Is A Journey, Not A Destination“, I realized that you’re the only one that can influence your future and should not be the slightest concerned about how others in your circle are doing. Just put the blinders on and concentrate on your own projects.

7) All The World’s Self-Mades Are Anything But Young

The Forbes rich list. What do ALL the self made billionaires & millionaires have in common? They are always over 50. Why? Because it takes several decades to build that level of financial success. You can’t earn $1billion overnight – you’ve got to work hard at it. So if you quit now, you’ll never get to the large house or 10 week vacations!!

8) Through The Thick & Thin, Assets Will Always Reward You

A big thing for me this year is to concentrate on building assets. Assets are “things” that you can sell for cash, and in terms of our business, these come in the form of websites, email lists, customer data, products and other forms of market data. Even if you have had enough of Internet business – I urge you to carry on for 1 year and try and build up some nice assets. Then after the year is through, cash those assets and see how much money you’ve made :-D

9) Sometimes Stepping Back Is Better Than Stepping Forward

I’m terrible for just diving into things without taking a break. And although this sort of motivated attitude is commendable, it can actually harm your progress, especially if you’re not getting where you want to. Take a step back – even take a couple of weeks away from the PC – and then come back refreshed and ready to do the things that will work again.

10) Winners Are Not Quitters

This is a BIG one – how many top sportsmen have you seen walk off the court / course / pitch / race trace because the going got tough? None. That’s because winners are not quitters. Winning takes time, dedication and creativity. If you quit, you could be throwing away one of the biggest opportunities of your life!!!!!
