What I Am Going To Do
It’s coming up to my birthday (next month) and it’s time I really get some details down about how I plan on increasing my net worth.
This plan is something that’s going to be a long-term project and is not one of the “get rich in a month” newbie ideas that many inexperienced marketers come out with. I live by the saying, “The more you put in, the more you get out“, meaning that it will serve me much better to build my presence in several markets instead of trying to jump from project to project, which is what I did last year.
Here’s what I plan to do to boost my net worth to $1mm:
Step 1. Build Review & Content Sites In Big Markets
I plan to get a foothold in a lot of big markets by using review sites and content sites to gain some instant revenue and exposure. I will begin by creating review sites for markets such as Forex, Learn Guitar and other product-centric markets. If I am able to get some predictable sales, I will consider to scale up the presence in that market.
- Find a big market which has massive room for expansion (one that I could make a “real” company for with an office and stuff)
- Create a review site and post some articles for it
- If I can get a sale with 20 articles, I will attempt to create more of a presence in the market with an email list or other sites
Step 2. Build A Product / Brand For The Market
Once I have established a central core profit center for a market, I will then concentrate on building a product or brand. I say brand because I have some e-commerce projects that I’d like to persue, so I could just set up an e-commerce store. This step will require me to create either a CB product, info product or an e-commerce brand selling someone else’s product.
Step 3. Expand The Product Line / Create New Products
With a brand or product in place, I’ll be able to use the leverage gained from that new product to create more products in the market. If I have a CB product in the ex-back market, for example, I will then look to create backend sales and alternative breakup products. If I have an e-commerce store, then I’ll try and get my own brand product produced to make even more of an impact on the particular market I am in.
This step will be the ’secret sauce’ of my journey. As many people create single Clickbank products in markets and do very well… but what will make you rich is the ability to capitalize on any gain you have, and grow your business further by introducing more chances to receive payment. I’ve owned several CB vendor sites and sold them all before I stumbled across this idea. It’s going to be vital for me to expand my assets and that includes creating new products for my businesses.
Step 4. Work To Become A Big Industry Player
I know this might sound a little ambitious, but in order to make the money, you have to position yourself in the right way. When I get several different businesses running at the Step3 level, I’ll be looking to grow them into real players in their respective industries. For example, if I had a digital music sales website, then I’d be looking to create an MP3 player and cut into Apple’s share of the music market… or if I had a site that was selling movie screenings, then I’d try and get some premiers on my site.

This entire plan has been designed to be as ambitious but as staged as possible. I have a saying which is to “Start Small, But Think Big“, which is where you take the time to get your company founded properly before trying to grow it into this massive thing. All oak trees have to start from an acorn, and although it might seem trivial to write a review site for a market that I want to “dominate”, it’s an essential part of the development process
